Women require getting rid of unwanted hair so as to enjoy the freedom to flaunt short dresses, crop tops and stylish lowers. Many types of hair removal methods have been devised to help women attain that beautiful hairless skin. Most women eventually settle for one of these methods after trying hands at all the available options. Shaving is a popular hair removal method mainly because it is quick and easy. Sugaring has also been popular among women since a long time. Let us take a closer look at both these methods to help you decide which among these is more suited for you.

Sugaring

Sugaring is considered to be one of the best hair removal methods. This is because it pulls the hair from root without causing much pain and leaves the skin smooth and hair less for three-four weeks. The procedure can easily be conducted at home with the help of a sugaring kit. It involves a few simple steps that are as follows:

  • Begin by warming up the sugaring paste.
  • Apply the paste in the opposite direction of the hair growth.
  • Press the paste to ensure it sticks properly to the skin.
  • Now, pull the paste in the direction of the hair growth by holding it from one edge.
  • And it is done! You can now rub the treated area gently with a damp cloth so as to clean it. This organic paste doesn’t leave any sticky residue. So, there is no need to indulge in extensive post sugaring clean-up.

Isn’t it simple? There is no need to heat up the paste and maintain its temperature to conduct the procedure properly as is the case in waxing. Besides, there is no chance of incurring burns or redness as warm paste is used. And the best part is that the hair growth becomes lighter over the time if you use this hair removal method regularly. However, it is suggested to conduct a patch test before going through full-fledged procedure.

Shaving

Shaving requires just one small tool and that is a razor. Razors specially made for women are soft on the skin. They enable you to get rid of the unwanted hair quickly. All you need to do is to work up some lather on the area to be treated and run the razor on it. The task can be completed in just a few minutes. However, since shaving doesn’t pull the hair from root, they re-grow quickly. So, you need to conduct the procedure every two-three days to keep your skin free from unwanted hair. Another downside of this procedure is that it may cause cuts and bruises if you do not pay proper attention during the process. Besides, the hair growth becomes quite coarse and hard if you choose this method.

This indicates that though both these procedures are simple and easy to conduct however sugaring is a better option as it is safer and proves to be beneficial in the long run. Moreover, it doesn’t need to be conducted frequently.
